      New Jersey composer writes 'Ride On' for symphonic band
      The journey began with a melody and will end with a world premiere. The Allentown High School (AHS) Symphonic Band, under the direction of Jeff Santoro, commissioned New Jersey composer Chris M. Bernotas to write a piece for the band to perform.       Mr. Oakley, 82, of Salisbury, Del., formerly of Freehold, died Oct. 30, 2009, at home. He began his career with the New Jersey Department of Agriculture and later went to work as a fruit broker for Blue Goose Growers in Hagerstown, Md.       MILLSTONE — There were about half the incidents of violence and vandalism in the school district during 2008-09 than there were in 2007-08.
