AHS field hockey team soars
      With a strong defense that rarely lets a goal in, the Allentown High School field hockey team is celebrating a strong season. As of Oct. 12, the team had a 10-1 record, suffering its only loss to Hopewell Valley on Oct. 8. Hopewell Valley was the first team to score more than one goal against Allentown.

      The Allentown Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge for boys and girls ages 10- 14 will take place 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 17 at Mark Harbourt Soccer Complex in Allentown. A rain date is set for Oct. 24. The Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge is sponsored annually, with winners progressing through local, district and state competitions.
