Fall sports back in action at Allentown High School

      When the heavy rains tapered off Sept. 12, the Allentown High School Redbirds took the opportunity to shine. The boys soccer team won its opening game, defeating Pinelands Regional High School, Tuckerton, 1-0. Goalkeeper Connor Darrell had 12 saves and Allessandro Massone kicked the game-winning goal.

Plainfield Curling Club hosts open house Oct. 3
      Anyone who has ever wanted to try a sport that has been featured during coverage of the last two Winter Olympics will have that opportunity on Oct. 3 from 2-6 p.m. when New Jersey's only dedicated curling facility hosts an open house.
