UPPER FREEHOLD — Autumn is on its way, which means it's almost time for Walnford Day.

Experience hands-on history as Historic Walnford holds its annual celebration from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 5. Parking and admission are free.

During Walnford Day, visitors can tour the property's 18th-century home on the banks of Crosswicks Creek. They can feel the rumble of the gristmill as it grinds corn into meal and learn about blacksmithing and the weaving of wool.

The event also features games, music and wagon rides.
