BlueClaws game to help raise funds for FAAN walk
Public invited to attend nut-free game Aug. 4
      The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) will host an inaugural fundraising event at the Lakewood BlueClaws' game on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at FirstEnergy Park, Lakewood. In an effort to help protect allergic fans and in honor of all individuals with food allergies, the BlueClaws will have an ingredient list available of every food item sold.

Brookdale upgrading its athletic facilities

      One of the best-kept secrets in Monmouth County may be what is going on at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft. The athletic facilities at Monmouth's county college are undergoing a face-lift. In addition to upgrading the Robert J. Collins Arena on campus, Brookdale is expanding the arena complex to include a community-based fitness center and a 1,500-seat gymnasium.

      The 14th annual SBOANJ Golf Outing will take place July 13 at Gambler Ridge Gold Club in Cream Ridge. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Horsemen's Benevolent Fund. Sponsors are being sought at levels ranging from $100 to $2,000. The cost of the outing is $135 per golfer. The cost of dinner only is $50.
