AHS graduates look to serve their country
Eight seniors plan to join military or accept appointment to academy

      While most of this year's graduating class of Allentown High School (AHS) will be heading on to college or work opportunities in the fall, several members have opted to serve their country in the armed forces. Abigail Chek, Jackson, will be pursuing a career in the military. She was a Choice student at AHS, where she attended FFA.

      MILLSTONE — Many township children had an early start on summer vacation, as anxious parents kept them home the last week of school because of fear of swine flu, or H1N1 influenza. When asked about swine flu, Superintendent of Schools Mary Anne Donahue said there were only the two confirmed cases.
