      Lieutenant governor role needs defining
            For the first time, New Jersey voters will select a lieutenant governor along with a governor in November, but many are unaware or confused about the role the lieutenant governor will play. Soon candidates for governor will announce their picks — and speculation abounds — but not much has been said about the responsibilities and powers of a lieutenant governor.

      Remember the bees when spraying insecticides
            On May 16, I woke to find thousands of dead and dying bees in front of my 16 hives that are located in Millstone Township. The incident was reported to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection as a "bee kill." Apparently, someone within a 2-3 mile radius had sprayed flowering plants on their premises.

            The article "Millstone schools likely to start charging for use" in the June 4 edition of the Examiner should have stated that Millstone resident Ramon Recalde said the Township Committee's decision to make such a massive school budget cut was the best medicine it could have administered for The article incorrectly attributed the quote to Township Committeeman Fiore Masci.
