Steve C. Glowzenski, an Army Reserve Chief Warrant Officer (3) and 1987 graduate of Allentown High School, has returned to the 104th Aviation Battalion, Lakehurst, after being deployed to an overseas forward operating base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Operation Iraqi Freedom is the official name given to military operations involving members of the U.S. armed forces and coalition forces participating in efforts to free and secure Iraq.
Glowzenski is a UH-60 helicopter maintenance pilot with 22 years of military service. He is the son of Charles R. Glowzenski of the Cream Ridge section of Upper Freehold.
Air Force Airman David J. Gartland, son of Julie Gartland and the brother of Daniel Gartland of Allentown, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. During his eight weeks of training, Gartland completed a program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. He is a 2006 graduate of Allentown High School.
