      Tell Corzine to leave EMT Training Fund alone
            The volunteer Emergency Medical Services (EMS) community understands this difficult economy requires serious belt tightening. Gov. Jon Corzine's plan to redirect $4 million from the Emergency Medical Technician Training Fund to the general fund, however, would only make things worse, especially on the local level.

            The third annual stream cleanup was a great success thanks to all the volunteers who helped by donating their time to make Millstone a cleaner place. Among the volunteers were some familiar faces from the previous years as well as some new ones.

            Hunters already have six days to hunt. Many hunters say they choose to kill deer so their food is free from growth hormones and antibiotics. What about all the fertilizer, weed killers and chemicals people use on their lawns, shrubs and plants that the deer eat?

            After learning of Scott DeMonte and Mike Campions' bid for election under the Republican Party, I have decided to withdraw my bid for the upcoming primary seat on the Township Committee in Millstone Township under the Democratic Party.

      Time for a change in Millstone Township
            I am tired of the current mayor raising my taxes in Millstone. In just two terms she has raised my taxes almost 300 percent. We have no services. We have no police force and we pay for our own garbage pickup. Why does she keep jacking up my taxes?

            As a Millstone resident for four years, I remember when the township government did not communicate to the citizens. I received the township's information packet last week and I am glad it included Mayor Nancy Grbelja's message on the COAH problem that Millstone faces because of regulations mandated from Trenton.
