Jay F. Hyland

Mr. Hyland, 86, of the Perrineville section of Millstone, died April 25, 2009, at home. He had lived in Old Bridge and the Robertsville section of Marlboro before moving to Perrineville eight years ago. A veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II, Mr. Hyland was a pipefitter for more than 35 years, retiring in 1985 from 3-M in Freehold Township. He was a former member of the South Old Bridge Fire Company and was a member of the Livingston Lodge No. 11 F. & A.M. in Orange. Mr. Hyland was predeceased by two brothers, Alfred in 1990 and Daniel in 2006. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Lillian M. Brautigam; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jay H. and Rita Hyland and William R. Hyland, all of Millstone Township; and two grandchildren. A memorial service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by burial at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
