Jay F. Hyland
Mr. Hyland was born in South River and lived in Old Bridge and Robertsville section of Marlboro, before moving to Perrineville eight years ago. Mr. Hyland was a pipe fitter for over 35 years retiring in 1985 from 3-M in Freehold. Mr. Hyland was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the European-African-Middle East Theaters during World War II where he participated in the invasion of Sicily, Salerno, Anzio and the invasion at Normandy Beach, and was the recipient of 4 Bronze Stars. Jay was a former member of the South Old Bridge Fire Company and was a member of the Livingston Lodge #11 F. & A.M. in Orange. He is predeceased by his two brothers: Alfred in 1990 and Daniel in 2006. He is survived by his Wife of 56 years: Lillian M. Brautigam of Millstone Township, Two Sons & a Daughter In-Law: Jay H. and Rita Hyland of Millstone Twp., William R. Hyland of Millstone Twp., Two Grandchildren: Jay N. & Heidi Hyland of Millstone Twp. Service Information: Visiting at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Twp., NJ on Tuesday April 28th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend His funeral service on Wednesday April 29th at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
