      U.F. driver makes harness history
            He has 9,000 wins and counting. With his win behind Redstone Ruckus in the sixth race at the Meadowlands on March 29, Upper Freehold's Dave Miller, 44, became the youngest driver to ever reach the 9,000-win milestone, according to a New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority press release.

      BlueClaws opening practice free to public
            The Lakewood BlueClaws have announced that they will hold their annual open practice on April 7 at 6 p.m. at FirstEnergy Park, Cedar Bridge and New Hampshire avenues, Lakewood. The event, which is free to the public, is the first and only opportunity to see the 2009 BlueClaws players before the season begins on April 9.
