      Garden club to host rose expert April 9
            The Allentown Garden Club will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. April 9 at the Allentown Methodist Church, 23 Church St. Noted rose expert Joseph D'Orio will share his considerable knowledge of roses and will also answer questions and provide timely tips for healthy, robust roses.

      Egg hunt, breakfast to be held in Millstone
            The Millstone Township Women's Organization (MTWO) will host its seventh annual pancake breakfast and egg hunt April 5 at the Millstone Township Middle School, 5 Dawson Court, in the Perrineville section of Millstone. The all-you-can-eat breakfast will be served 9-11 a.m. and includes pancakes, bagels, bacon, juice, coffee and tea.

      Annual stream cleanup to be held
            The Upper Freehold Environmental Advisory Committee and the Crosswicks-Doctors Creek Watershed Association is holding its annual stream cleanup from 9 a.m. to noon April 4. This year the cleanup will be held at Imlaystown Lake, off Imlaystown Road (just east of the Happy Apple Inn).

      Horse and Carriage Society to hold clinic
            The Garden State Horse and Carriage Society will host a driving clinic April 5 with Robin Groves and Michelle McBride at the Horse Park of New Jersey, Allentown. The Society is made up of carriage collectors, drivers and equine enthusiasts from New Jersey and the surrounding area. The clinic is to support their mission as an educational facility.

      Women's Association to hold gift auction
            A gift auction sponsored by the Women's Association of Allentown will be held April 18 at the Allentown First Aid Building, Route 526, Allentown. The doors will open at 6 p.m. and the calling will begin at 7 p.m. Two sheets of tickets will be provided with a $5 donation and three extra sheets will cost $2. Dessert, coffee and tea are included.
