      Schools are valuable community assets
            Dear fellow community members of Allentown borough and Upper Freehold. I am reaching out today as a neighbor and local realtor regarding our upcoming school budget vote on April 21. All of us have been adversely affected either directly or indirectly by our dismal economy.

      More citizens need to do community service
            In response to Dina Hempel's interpretation of my letter regarding New Jersey's filthy roadsides, my letter was not a specific observation of Millstone's roadways, but more an observation of all of the roads I travel in New Jersey — in Monroe, along Route 18, in Ocean Township — simply everywhere it seems.

      Family proud to be part of the Millstone community
            The Millstone recreational basketball season is coming to an end. I am pretty sure that that is no big deal for most and that it's off to the next thing for most kids. Families are probably relieved to have one less freezing cold night to have to go out and drive their kid to a late weeknight practice. Who isn't looking forward to spring?

      Senator says points made in her column were accurate
            I would like to briefly set the record straight in response to (New Jersey Department of Community Affairs) Commissioner Joseph Doria's allegations related to my opinion editorial of the new affordable housing law and regulations ("Senator Misses Key Points on Affordable Housing," Your Turn, Examiner, Feb. 26).
