      Budget whittled down for possible 3.9-cent tax increase
      The Millstone Township School District must make cuts because the state will not allow a 2009-10 budget that depends on more than a 4 percent tax levy increase. At the Feb. 23 Board of Education meeting, Superintendent of Schools Mary Anne Donahue and Business Administrator Bernard Biesaida presented the board with options for cutting the budget in order to get to the state-mandated tax levy cap.       A gift auction sponsored by the Women's Association of Allentown will be held April 18 at the Allentown First Aid Building, Route 526, Allentown.       Millstone Township resident Kaitlyn Fare has received a scholarship to play soccer at Bryant University in Rhode Island. Fare, a 17-year-old Millstone resident who is a senior at St. John Vianney High School in Holmdel, signed a national letter of intent Feb. 4 to play soccer while attending Bryant University in Rhode Island.
