Pastor to talk about experiences in Africa
      Allentown Presbyterian Church Pastor Stephen Heinzel-Nelson and his wife Liz, who spent a year with their family working for the destitute in Malawi, Africa, will give a presentation about their experiences at 7 p.m. Feb. 22. The event, which will take place at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, 20 High St, Allentown, is a community-wide event and open to the public.

Cloth bag exhibit at Historic Walnford
      "Contained by Cotton, 150 Years of Cloth Bags" will be offered 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 28 through Aug. 2 at Walnford Park in Upper Freehold. The display is located on the second floor of the Waln House. During the 19th and 20th centuries, flour, sugar, animal feed and other products filled cloth bags of many sizes.

Monmouth parks now offer winter golf rates
      The Monmouth County Park System is offering a special rate of $12 for the 2008-09- winter golf season at Bel Aire Golf Course in Wall and Shark River Golf Course in Neptune. This special ends March 14. The $12 rate is available to both county residents and nonresidents.

Homes for dogs, cats and kittens needed
      The Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MCSPCA) is seeking foster homes and permanent homes for dogs, cats and kittens. Fostering is approximately a two-month commitment. The shelter also urges current pet owners to have their pets spayed/neutered. MCSPCA offers low-cost spay/neutering to the public.
