Mrs. Blackwell, 85, of Millstone Township, died Jan. 20, 2009, in the Cranbury Center-Genesis Elder Care facility, Monroe Township. Born in Englewood, she had lived in Dumont most of her life prior to moving to Millstone two years ago. A graduate of Centenary College, Hackettstown, with a degree in education, Mrs. Blackwell was a kindergarten teacher for the Dumont Board of Education. She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis G. Blackwell. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Myrtle and Thomas Grosso; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Diane Blackwell; two sisters, Virginia and Elizabeth; two grandsons and eight great-grandsons.
