      Millstone Community Ed. offers music class
            Millstone Township Community Education is offering Music Together, an internationally recognized early childhood music program for children age 8 months to 3 years and the adults who love them. Each participant receives a CD and songbook containing the class songs. Offered Thursdays, Jan. 22 to March 26, 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Community Center. Fee is $205.

      Yoga class offered by Roosevelt Recreation
            The Roosevelt Recreation Department will offer a yoga program at the Roosevelt School, 2 School Lane, Roosevelt, 6-7 p.m. Jan. 26, Feb. 2, 9, 23, March 2, 9, 16, and 23. Certified yoga instructor and Roosevelt resident, Valerie Skillman, will instruct the classes. While yoga mats will be provided, participants are welcomed to bring their own.

      Young children's music classes offered
            Registration is now in progress for music and movement classes for young children that will be offered at the Allentown United Methodist Church, 23 Church St./Route 526, Allentown. The classes, which begin the week of Jan. 19, are: "Village" for babies up to about 18 months, "Our Time" for children ages 1 1/2 to 3 1/2, and "Imagine That!" for preschoolers ages 3 to 4.

      MPAC hosts mixed-up show for area youths
            A production of "From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler" will be presented at the new Millstone Township Performing Arts Center, 5 Dawson Court, at 2 p.m. Jan. 25. Tickets are $10 and all seats are reserved. Call 732-446-8480 or send an email to MPAC@millstone.k12.nj.us.

      Horsemen schedule general meeting Jan. 20
            The Horsemen's Association of Millstone Township (HAMT) will hold its monthly meeting 7 p.m. Jan. 20, at the Millstone Township Community Center, 463 Stagecoach Road, Clarksburg section of Millstone. Topics of discussion will include upcoming equestrian speakers, trail rides and special events for 2009.

      Photos to be taken for open space program
            Members of the Millstone Township Open Space and Farmland Preservation Council are in the process of photographing township-owned properties for the open space stewardship program. Council members will be carrying identification while they photograph various properties throughout the township.

            The MOMS Club® of Millstone will be holding its next monthly meeting 10 a.m. Feb. 12. The group will be discussing lowor no-cost monthly calendar activities for all age groups, ranging from newborns and up.

      January is National Blood Donor Month
            Bracing for a sharp seasonal drop in the blood supply, New Jersey Blood Services (NJBS) is appealing to all eligible persons to donate blood in January, designated National Blood Donor Month. January is always a critical time of the year for blood collections because traditionally donations decline during the holiday season.

      H.S. baseball team to hold benefit dinner
            A benefit dinner for the Allentown High School baseball team will be held 6:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at the German American Society, 215 Uncle Pete's Road, Trenton. Former Philadelphia Phillies player and current broadcaster, Gary Matthews, will be the guest speaker, and Phillies broadcaster Tom McCarthy will host the event.
