Holiday fundraiser to feature music Dec. 6
      The Upper Freehold/Allentown Alliance to Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Abuse is hosting an evening of holiday entertainment 7 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, 20 High St., Allentown. The evening will feature music by the Princeton Garden Statesman, a chorus of 40 male voices singing in four-part close harmony.

Thanksgiving food packages available
      The Good Samaritan Food Pantry will be providing Thanksgiving packages to people in need on Nov. 21. Boxes, complete with a frozen turkey, stuffing, potatoes, yams, cranberry sauce, pie and more, will be distributed beginning at 6 p.m. at the Emley's Hill United Methodist Church, 69 Emley's Hill Road, Upper Freehold. Millstoners certified as Master Gardeners
      Twenty-eight Monmouth County residents became certified Master Gardeners at a graduation ceremony held Nov. 14 at Hominy Hill Golf Center, Colts Neck. The Master Gardeners became experts by completing a course of classroom and handson training in plant biology, propagation, soil science and disease and pest control.

      The Millstone Township PTO is sponsoring a clothing drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 22 in the Millstone Township Primary School parking lot, Schoolhouse Road. Donations of wearable clothing, handbags, belts, ties, shoes, blankets, pillows, tablecloths, stuffed animals and small hard toys should be placed in plastic bags.

      The Performing Arts Ensemble will be staging its production of Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker" 1 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Millstone Performing Arts Center, 5 Dawson Court, in the Perrineville section of Millstone. The show will feature New York City guest artists, professional scenery and special effects. Tickets are $15 for children and $20 for adults.

      Members of the Millstone Township Open Space and Farmland Preservation Council are in the process of photographing township-owned properties for the open space stewardship program. Council members will be carrying identification while they photograph various properties throughout the township.

Silver Decoy Winery to hold interactive tours
      The Silver Decoy Winery will be staging interactive hourly tours of the facility and free tasting as part of its participation in the annual statewide Holiday Wine Trail Weekend Nov. 28-30.
