Roosevelt Recreation to host programs

The Roosevelt Recreation Department is sponsoring the following programs:

• Open Gym — Friday nights, 7-9 p.m., beginning Oct. 10, at the Roosevelt Public School, 2 School Lane. The program is open to students in grades 6-10 and will not run on days that school is not in session.

• Dancing with the Stars — A community dance night will be held 7-10 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Roosevelt School. Candace Woodward-Clough will offer an hour of instruction of various types of dance, to be based upon the interest of those attending. The remaining two hours will be devoted to an open dance party. Adults and children are welcome. The cost is $5 per person. Light refreshments will be served.

• Youth Floor Hockey — Monday night, 7-9 p.m. beginning Dec. 8, at the Roosevelt Public School. The program is open to students in grades 1-6. A registration form must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian in order to participate.
