Youths thanked for repairing homes during mission trip

The youths from the De- Bows United Methodist Church Youth Group have returned from their mission trip to Zanesville, Ohio.

There were 335 youths at the work camp. Thirty-seven received exterior paint and some interior paint for homes. Wheel chair ramps were constructed on ten homes and porches and stairs were repaired on nine homes.

Nine different religious denominations were represented, which included 22 churches from ten states and a group from Tokyo, Japan.

The sponsoring organization was Group Workcamp Foundation from Loveland, Colo. Local youths who attended were Noah Carmichael, Bree Cregle, Zach Cregle, Dana Daly, Ashley Christian and Kaila Gordon. Adult counselors were Betty and Dave Gibbons.

This was the fourth mission trip that the youths from the church have attended.
