George F. Bier

Mr. Bier, 90, a lifelong resident of Freehold, died July 24, 2008, at home. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a Jacquard-Loom Weaver for the A&M Karagheusian Rug Mill for 30 years, and a U.S. postal worker in Freehold for 15 years. Mr. Bier is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Kate and Al Scarlata of Allentown, Nancy Jones of Manasquan and Georgene Connor of Oceanport; a sister, Joan Sporman of Union; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces. Graveside services were held at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold, under the direction of the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold.
