      Horse racing industry must ban whips altogether

      SRF's golf tourney was a hole-in-one
            On July 1, nearly 125 lovers of trotters, pacers and putters turned out at the beautiful Knob Hill Country Club in Manalapan to play in the Standardbred Retirement Foundation's (SRF) annual charity golf tournament. Despite rescheduling due to inclement weather, the tournament enjoyed strong support, as always, from the horsemen and the harness racing community.

            An article titled "Scout looks out for the little ones" in the July 17 Examiner incorrectly stated that Hope Fire Company contributed funding to Andrew Pfefferkorn's Eagle Scout project of building a deck on the CCD building at St. Joseph's Church in Millstone. The Millstone Township Fire Company made the contribution. We regret the error.
