            Icould not believe my ears when I heard certain people call our governor courageous for his debt restructuring plans. Is it courageous to threaten our children with closing state parks? Is it courageous to threaten New Jersey drivers with astronomical increases in tolls and gas taxes when families are struggling to survive?

      Library thanks Girl Scouts for beautification
            On behalf of the Allentown Public Library Association, I wish to extend our sincere thanks to Girl Scout Junior Troop 407 for their efforts to clean up the area behind the library. We know the gardens needed cleaning and plantings, and the parking lot was a mess. It looks fabulous now, thanks to all the work you did.
