Historian will discuss Lenni Lenape Indians
      As part of its history at Heritage Park program, the Allentown-Upper Freehold Historical Society will host a lecture by historian and naturalist Brenda Davis. More than 1,000 Lenni Lenape Indians once lived in Monmouth County with at least one large settlement and two smaller settlements abiding in Heritage Park.

Redbird Golf Classic III starts at 8 a.m. on May 2
      The Allentown High School Parent Golf Association (AHSpga) Foundation and Reed Sod Farm will host the Redbird Golf Classic III May 2 at the Cream Ridge Golf Club in Upper Freehold. Check-in begins at 7 a.m. for the 8 a.m. shotgun start. The event will feature prizes such as cash awards. Play is limited to 120 golfers.

      Staff appreciation will be celebrated May 5-9 at the Millstone Township Primary and Elementary schools. In addition to a breakfast, a luncheon and daily raffles, a makeover of the teachers' lounges is being planned. In order to complete this project, donations are being sought fromthe community.

      Allentown High School FFA alumni will hold a flea market/tack sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 10 at Allentown High School, Route 539, Allentown. Crafters and vendors are needed. The cost for the space is $10. Bring your own table. Set up begins at 8 a.m. All proceeds will benefit Allentown High School's FFA Chapter.
