The Allentown Recreation Commission would like to thank the local community for supporting and attending the third annual Allentown Chili Contest held on Saturday,March 29 at the Allentown First Aid Building.

It was a record crowd and we wanted to extend our thanks to the many chili contestants for their delicious entries and to those who donated their homemade corn bread.

Special thanks to Cathy Falconio, Freiberger Farms and Renegade Rich & Debi for their continued support in creating a successful evening in which all that attended enjoyed.

Through these efforts and more, the Allentown Recreation Commission is pleased to announce a monetary donation to the Allentown First Aid Squad of $636 from the door collection and $100 from a check contributed by The Bank of Allentown for a final donation of $736.

We are grateful for the generosity shown year after year by our friends and neighbors in our attempts to bring emphasis to the unique village of Allentown and its many worthy volunteers serving our community needs. Sincere thanks.
