      Roosevelt's architecture explored in documentary
            The Roosevelt Arts Project will present "Jersey Homesteads: In the Architectural Vanguard" at 8 p.m. April 12 at borough hall. The event will include a showing of a documentary video by Roosevelt resident Ben Johnson that explores the architectural history of the original Roosevelt houses. There will also be a question/comment session.

      Roosevelt to continue yoga program at RPS
            The borough of Roosevelt is sponsoring a yoga program at Roosevelt Public School from 6:15-7:15 p.m. Tuesday nights, starting April 8. Certified yoga instructor Kym Kulp will conduct the classes. Yoga mats will be provided. The cost of the program is $75; the entire fee is due at the first class.       Turkey Trot returns to Horse Park Nov. 9
            Abenefit for theHorse Park ofNew Jersey and Eastern States Dressage and Combined Training Association (ESDCTA), otherwise known as the Turkey Trot, will take place on Nov. 9. There will be a six-mile riding-only course, and if there is enough interest, a carriage-driving course. Rider divisions include Open, Junior, Family and AARP.

      NJUCA benefit concert, dinner slated for April 11
            The New Jersey United Christian Academy will host a benefit dinner and concert at 6 p.m. April 11 at 73 Holmes Mill Road, in the Cream Ridge section of Upper Freehold. Attendees will be entertained by the school band, the Korean choir, the Hands of Praise Choir and the music of the band, Unspoken.

      Allentown businesses will host community yard sale
            The Allentown Business Community Association (ABCA) is sponsoring a community wide yard and sidewalk sale starting at 9 a.m. May 17. ABCA will provide posters, flyers and advertising for the event. A list of participating resident addresses will be available the morning of the sale so that shoppers can easily find the participants.

            The Millstone Township Environmental Commission and the Stony Brook-MillstoneWatershedAssociation is sponsoring the Millstone Township annual stream cleanup from 9 a.m. to noon April 5. The goal is to make Millstone a better place to live by pitching in to clean up the waterways.

      Camp Invention coming to Millstone this summer
            Camp Invention is scheduled to take place from July 14-18 at the Millstone Township Middle School. The weeklong summer enrichment program fosters creativity, teamwork, inventive-thinking skills and science literacy. Joanne Schiumo, a teacher at Millstone Township Primary School, has been named the 2008 camp director.

      Sponsors sought for AHS golf team's annual outing
            The Allentown High School Redbird golf team is seeking sponsorship for its annual golf outing on May 2. Sponsors who make a $1,000 donation will receive a color logo display on all signs advertising the event and a full-page ad in the booster book that will be distributed to over 400 homes and places of business.

      New support group helps those affected by autism
            A Monmouth County support group for family members of an individual with an autism spectrum disorder will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. onApril 24,May 22 and June 26 at the Monmouth County Library, 125 Symmes Drive, Manalapan. The support group will provide opportunities for parents to learn more about autism and related services and treatments.

      Organization seeks veterans from all eras
            The Veterans of the Vietnam War Inc. and The Veterans Coalition, Millstone-Jackson Post 03, seek all honorably discharged U.S. military veterans from all eras, as well as those currently serving, to join them. The coalition will hold its next regular monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. April 9 at the Millstone Elks Lodge, 22 Burnt Tavern Road, Millstone.

      Spring seedling sale will benefit Monmouth's 4-H
            The Monmouth County 4-H Teen Council will continue its 40-year-old tradition of offering a variety of evergreen and deciduous seedlings during its annual spring seedling sale. All seedlings are 1-3 years old and are approximately six to 24 inches tall. Evergreen seedlings come in bundles of 25 and cost $15.
