Rutgers Equine Science Center has new courses
      The Equine Science Center at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, will offer two new courses in 2008 focusing on horse health and horse industry leadership. The first is a semester-long program called "Advanced Equine Health Care and Management" that will meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings, starting Jan. 23 at the Cook campus at Rutgers in New Brunswick.

      "A Farm Conservation Plan" will be the topic of the Millstone Agricultural Advisory Board's Dec. 13, 7:30 p.m. seminar, hosted by Nicole Ciccaglione, a district conservationist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service. Make a wreath at PTA event in Roosevelt Dec. 8
      The Roosevelt PTA is kicking off the holiday season by sponsoring its third annual "Make Your Own Wreath" event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Roosevelt Public School lobby, 2 School Lane. The fee of $18 will allow participants to make and leave with one wreath. The activity takes about one hour to complete.
