      If you read the daily paper, chances are good you'll find a new story of another student diagnosed with methicillinresistant Staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA. Several deaths have been reported, and schools are closing to disinfect their facilities as more cases are diagnosed.

Voter questions if power still lies with voters
      Ihave never taken the time to write a letter to the editor in the past, but after yesterday's election, I am compelled to do so, as I am disgusted with our elected officials. Not long ago, Millstone Township residents had to vote on an additional schoolfunding question. I, as well as many other residents, took the time to vote this additional spending measure down.

      'The people have spoken," said Upper Freehold Mayor Stephen Fleischacker Nov. 7 in a local daily newspaper, reacting to his electoral defeat. In rejecting Mr. Fleischacker, Upper Freehold voters have indeed spoken. They have rejected the thousand-plus homes his master plan would bring to our township.
