      Millstone commuter applauds Beck's work on Academy bus issue
            As a commuter who has suffered the torture of riding Academy buses from Route 9 to Wall Street for the past seven years, I applaud Assemblywoman Jennifer Beck for taking the lead on finding a solution to this very difficult problem.       Booster club seeks volunteers for annual Witches Hollow Run
            The Millstone Township Booster Club is looking for volunteers to assist in the planning and organizing of the fifth annual Witches Hollow Run, a 5K and one-mile fun run, being held on Sunday, Oct. 28. The event is the booster club's primary fundraiser for Millstone Township student athletics.

      Commuter applauds Beck's initiative and corrective steps
            Academy Bus Lines has had a horrendous service record for decades because they have a service monopoly along the Route 9 corridor into downtown Wall Street, New York City. They just do not seem to care about the commuters.

            Monmouth University Polling Institute recently released statistics on New Jerseyans' affections for our own state's restaurants, discovering that 69 percent of residents feel New Jersey restaurants are as good as or better than those in New York.

      Ticketed driver on a mission to educate the public
            Kathy Chang's January 2007 article on the basic laws of the state of New Jersey is priceless. Very few people are aware that technically you can't have anything hanging from your rearview mirror. Nothing. I just got nailed for $107 total in Towanda, Pa., and am on an education mission using signs and handouts.
