      Big Foot Open brings state's top archers to Jackson
      Black Knight Bowbenders hosting competition
            The bows may have the best of modern technology (sights, stabilizers, etc.) and the targets may be 3-D, however, for two days, the Black Knight Bowbenders will be turning back the clock with their 13th annual Big Foot Open.

      AHS students rally around popular classmate
            Rebecca Wishbow probably didn't realize just how well- liked she is.After she was diagnosed with leukemia this past fall, students and faculty alike rallied around the Allentown High School student-athlete, raising over $23,000 for the girl they call "Becca," who is a member of the student council, girls basketball team, and the girls lacrosse team.

      United girls gear up for run at Italian tourney
            Since 2001, the Allentown United girls soccer team has been winning games against teams from throughout the East Coast. Next week they'll face their toughest test to date, as they head overseas to take part in the Valtellina Cup in Italy.

            The Jackson Jackals Pee Wee Travel B team (95/96) is looking for three experienced ice hockey players, two defensemen and a forward, for the 2007-08 season. For more information, contact Tom Moskal at (732) 905-9257. An over-30 women's softball league is starting in Jackson this fall. Sign-ups are Friday, July 20, 6-8 p.m. in the meeting room at the Jackson Municipal Building.
