The Christian Center for the Arts, an ecumenical community initiative being developed by the Community Christian Choir, has planned an evening of fun with family and friends from the area on Wednesday, June 20, 5-7:30 p.m.

The evening will include a cookout, family art project and other activities as well as stories told by professional storyteller Helen Wise.

Wise tells contemporary stories as well as traditional folk and fairy tales. She has worked as a writer, teacher, costume designer, and stage director with children and youth.

Reservations for the event are suggested. A minimum donation of $15 per family will also be requested to help defray expenses. The event will be held at the Methodist Church, 23 Church St. in Allentown.
