For the Record

In an article in the April 12 edition of the Examiner titled "Debate Emerges Over Who Should Pay for Project Flaws," Upper Freehold Regional School District member William Borkowski said Aqua New Jersey runs the sewer plant at the local Hovnanian housing developments Heritage Green and Four Seasons. He also said that the company told the board that it had excess capacity at the plant, so the school district could use it for a school on Ellisdale Road.

According to Aqua New Jersey Director of Corporate Development David DeGerolamo, Aqua New Jersey does not operate the sewer plant at the Hovnanian housing developments; rather, Applied Water Management, a subsidiary of N.J. American operates the plant.

Aqua New Jersey's role in the project was to petition the N.J. Board of Public Utilities for a water franchise extension, which would allow the company to serve potable water to a new school on Ellisdale Road. The water franchise extension was granted to Aqua New Jersey on Oct. 12, 2006.

An article in the May 10 edition of the Examiner titled "Millstone Officials Counter Vote With Yes, No, Yes, Yes" incorrectly stated that the kindergarten question failed with the Township Committee in a 2-1 vote with Township Committeeman Elias Abilheira casting the sole vote for restoring the program. The question did fail but Abilheira voted against restoring the program.
