      Millstone Township Board of Education reorganizes
      Friedman chosen as president, Deitz as vice president
            MILLSTONE - Mary Ann Friedman will have a lot on her plate this year. Not only was she re-elected as the Millstone Township Board of Education president at the board's April 23 re-organization meeting, but she was also chosen to serve as the school district's representative on the Upper Freehold Regional School District (UFRSD) Board of Education.

            MILLSTONE - What kind of baby measures 14 feet long and weighs 120 pounds? After an assembly on "Snakes, Scales and Turtle Tails" April 23, Millstone Township Elementary School students now know the answer to that question: a baby python.

      New school project faces slight delay
            MILLSTONE - The construction of the new middle school on Baird Road may run a few weeks behind schedule, but the facility still plans to open for school in September. Construction manager Bill Skillman, of Hill International in Marlton, reported to the Board of Education at its April 23 meeting that there will be a minimal delay in the project due to the delivery of septic tanks.

      Out of the pond and into the sea
      Former local school board member starts career with state board
            MILLSTONE - Kathy Winecoff will no longer serve on the Millstone Township Board of Education, but she has made a career out of doing just that. Earlier this month, Winecoff began her new job working as a field representative for the New Jersey School Boards Association. She will work out of the association's Voorhees office.
