Reader thanks Holocaust survivor for sharing his story
I would like to thank the Examiner and staff writer Jessica Smith for introducing our community to Holocaust survivor Murray Goldfinger ("A tale of tragedy, torture and survival," April 12, 2007). Mr. Goldfinger's recounting of the heinous atrocities he experienced and the heartbreaking losses that he incurred inherently must require him to relive abject horrors time and time again - yet he continues to do so in order to educate future generations and remind us all of a dark time in history that should never, ever be forgotten. Mr. Goldfinger's ability to endure, move forward and maintain his will to live despite the nightmares of his youth is a testament to the incredible spiritual strength of this truly amazing man. Thank you, Mr. Goldfinger, for your great personal sacrifice in sharing your amazing life story.
