'Good intentions' based upon political motivation
      The Upper Freehold community needs to understand the political intentions of the members of the Board of Education (BOE). As we can all agree, BOE members who volunteer their time have good intentions, but their intentions are based upon political motivation.

      In Washington Township, we've been on the front lines of Smart Growth for more than a decade with our award-winning Town Center, where the first residents arrived in fall 2001. Ours was the first "center" planned from scratch. We're also in the midst of a property tax crisis that will only get worse when revaluation notices start arriving in a few weeks.

Neighbor offers details about pit bulls that killed puppy
      I am responding to the Feb. 1, 2007 article titled "Pit bulls kill family's pet in Millstone," discussing the killing of Gerry Barbaruolo's puppy by her neighbor's two pit bull dogs. I cannot imagine the grief her family is going through, given the viciousness of Max's death as well as the understanding that something could have been done to avoid this tragedy.
