The UFA40 played at home on a perfect pitch in perfect conditions recently against a team from Lakewood. The home side did not take long to get on the board with Amaro Pereira putting them ahead after just five minutes; after that it was all one way traffic. Pereira got a second, Steve Sinai got two and Dan Caruso, after hitting the woodwork three times, finally managed to get one between the posts for a commanding 5-0 lead going into halftime. The second half resumed with some positional changes, sweeper Alan Nichols taking on the role of striker. Within 10 minutes he had netted a hat-trick after repeatedly beating the offside trap that Lakewood tried to spring.

The Allentown Central Redbirds PeeWee and Midget Cheer squads will take to the floor of the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton this weekend to perform their two minute and 30 second cheer/dance routine for the chance to perform at the National Competition at Disney in December.
