The Allentown Garden Club will host Dr. Marie Miczak in a lecture on aromatherapy, flowers and healing, and herbal gardening. The presentation will include the creation of natural beauty products from the garden. The meeting and program will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Allentown Methodist Church, Church Street.

fall community classes
Millstone Community Education is starting its Fall 2006 classes Oct. 9. There are several new and exciting programs. Programs include "Yoga," "Spanish For Adult Beginners," "Dog Training," "Music Together," "Computer Detectives" and "Mommy & Me and Toddler Classes." Home demonstration
vendors & crafters sought
The Millstone Township Women's Organization (MTWO), will be hosting its second annual 'Shop 'til You Drop" vendor night Nov. 17 from 7-10 p.m., at the Millstone Township Elementary School. Home demonstration vendors & crafters wanted, to sell items to local shoppers for the holiday season. Spaces are $50 (including table); some limited spaces with electric. All are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Free admission. Proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated back to the Millstone community. Call Jamie (609) 208-2988.

holiday bazaar at PJC

Hunger Walk, Oct. 22

Movie nights scheduled this fall in Roosevelt
The Roosevelt Recreation Department invites all area residents to the Roosevelt Public School grounds this fall to enjoy movies on the big screen on Saturday nights. All outdoor movies begin at dusk or 7 p.m. Details: (609) 448-0539, ext. 3.
Theater workshop slated
in Millstone Township
Based on the holiday classic "A Christmas Carol," an intermediate and advanced workshop class will culminate in two local performances of "Scrooge" on Dec. 15 and 16. No auditions are necessary, but the class is limited to 30 individuals. The workshop is open to those ages 10 and older.
The class will be taught and directed by Laurie Edwards, president of Phoenix Productions, the award-winning theater company that performs out of the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank. Class will meet Tuesday and Thursday nights in the Millstone Elementary School cafetorium from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 10 through Dec. 16. Fee is $175 for more than 30 hours of class time, plus the performances.
