Millstoner ready to take charge of new company
MILLSTONE - ArcMesa Educators and Scinexa Medical Education Group have merged into a new company that a township resident will now oversee. Eatontown-based ArcMesa Educators, a multi-accredited online provider of education courses that has serviced professionals within 18 different industries since 1996, has decided to merge with Plainsboro-based Scinexa, a developer of educational activities designed to enhance and improve patient care through the continuing education of health-care professionals over a broad range of therapeutic areas, according to a press release. The merger will retain the ArcMesa Educators name, according to the press release. In the release, the CEO and chairman of the new company, Michael J. Hennessy, credits Millstone's Tighe Blazier with Scinexa's recent growth. "Under the strong, dedicated leadership of Tighe Blazier, Scinexa has achieved significant growth since its inception a few short years ago," Hennessy said in the press release. "Tighe's enthusiasm and influence within the medical-education arena have strengthened our client base while instilling the vision that has been and will continue to be a hallmark of our organization." As general manager, Blazier will assume responsibility for the new company. Ken Meyer, executive vice president within ArcMesa, will expand his role by overseeing the operations side of the business, according to the press release. Hennessy said, "For more than 10 years, Ken [Meyer] has tirelessly worked to ensure that ArcMesa's pioneering concept of online continuing education remains the industry standard. His creative business savvy has allowed ArcMesa to tap into new markets with innovative products and services while maintaining and growing existing business." With the merger, the opportunity to function as one organization will enhance the business prospects that would not as easily be afforded to the separate companies, resulting in a synergy that leverages each company's strengths, according to the press release. Hennessy said in the release, "By combining the talent and the highly successful continuing education and continuing medical-education programs of each respective company into one highly effective business unit, we have clear goals in mind: to improve the quality of online and traditional continuing education and to make ArcMesa Educators the premier performer in this field."
