The Garden State Wood Bat League is currently accepting early registration for its Fall Ball 2006. Cost is $32 per player based on a 15-player roster. Several new teams registered for the summer season, improving the quality of play in the 11-year-old wood bat league. The fall season is expected to be even better. The league has openings for players 13U through men's college.

The 26th annual Princeton Bicycling Event, which offers rides of various distances of 20 to 100 miles through the beautiful countryside of Princeton and Central Jersey, will be held on Aug. 5. The event, sponsored by the Princeton Free Wheelers, will start and finish at Mercer County Community College on Old Trenton Road, Route 535, West Windsor. Registration fee is $30 and includes a post-ride lunch. There is an advance registration bonus (application postmarked by Monday), a free tent T-shirt. Riders can register the day of the event. The New Jersey Jackals of the independent Can-Am League will be hosting its second annual Classic Car Show at Yogi Berra Stadium on the campus of Montclair State University in Upper Montclair on Saturday at noon. The show will take place prior to the Jackals' 2:05 p.m. game with the North Shore Spirit. All participants must have a ticket for that day's game and R.S.V.P. to the Jackals. The participants will receive two vouchers good for any remaining game on the 2006 Jackals home schedule and a chance to throw out the first pitch of Saturday's game.

A U12 girls Twin County soccer team playing in MOSA (age division - Aug 1, 1994, to July 31, 1995) will hold tryouts. The team has a professional trainer, participates in three tournaments a year, and attends indoor winter camps and summer camps.
