Adults over 60 sought for study at Rutgers

The Rutgers University psychology department is seeking adults who are at least 60 years of age; are able to complete a two-hour assessment at Rutgers; can read, speak, and write in English; are not color blind; are right-handed; have no known brain disease or terminal illness; and have no current or history of mood or psychiatric problems.

Participants will be paid $20 for completing the tasks. Anyone who is interested or would like additional details may call the Rutgers Anxiety Research Lab at (732) 445-1413, press 2 after the tone, and leave their name and telephone number.

International film series at Manalapan library

The Monmouth County Summer International Film Series will be held Wednesdays at 2 and 6:30 p.m. at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, 125 Symmes Drive, Manalapan. All films have English subtitles. The films are:

"Edukators" in German on July 19, "Saraband" in French on July 26, "Paradise Now" in Arabic on Aug. 2, "Up and Down" in Czech on Aug. 9, and "Wasabi" in French and Japanese on Aug. 16.
