Kind Heart Rescue seeks greens for rescued rabbits

Kind Heart Rescue, home to 40 rescued rabbits, has issued a plea for greens for the animals.

The nonprofit organization is asking gardeners, produce stands or grocery stores to consider donating day-old vegetables, kale, leaf lettuce, romaine lettuce, collard greens, broccoli, cauliflower, dandelion greens, or the outer leaves of cabbage and lettuce. Also needed are stacks of clean, dry newspapers, which will be used to line cages and litter boxes.
