Millstone's Memorial Day parade set for May 29
Millstone's annual Memorial Day parade will be held May 29, starting at 10 a.m., rain or shine.
The parade will begin at the Clarksburg post office on Route 524/Stagecoach Road (near Scooters Corner) and end at the Veterans Memorial next to the old Clarksburg School. Ample side-street parking will be available for the public at Bowman's Court near the memorial.
New Jersey Army National Guard troops will participate in the parade, as will many riders on horseback from Millstone-area equestrian associations.
A special ceremony will be held at the Veterans Memorial, with Col. Angelo M. Capolupo, who recently returned from Operation Iraqi Freedom, as the keynote speaker.
Following the ceremony, the Clarksburg Inn will host a barbecue, free to the attending public.
A cash bar will be available.
Parade registration forms are available at the Millstone Township municipal building for any area organizations wishing to march or enter a float or vehicle in the parade. For more information, call Rick Brody at (732) 615-8987.
