Summer programs offered in Millstone
Millstone Township Community Education will begin its summer community program June 26, and programs will run through the end of July. A variety of "camps" will be offered, with most running two to three hours, either mornings or afternoons, for one week.
"Camp Invention," "Mad Science," and "Sciensational" camps will be offered, featuring robots, space, chemical magic, machines and rockets. The arts camps will include sculpture, painting comic strip design, sewing, and arts and crafts. "Just for fun" camps include magic, "Girls Rule," teaching, beginning or advanced cooking, writing, and dancing.
The two-week theater camp will be directed this year by Anthony D'Amato and will end with a production of the musical comedy "Unhappily Ever After." The summer instrumental program is also back this year, with lessons for current students, new students, and a new class for jazz musicians. There will also be Spanish for preschoolers, song-writing for teens, and Pilates for adults.
