Community Christian Choirs, an interfaith group of singers from central New Jersey and surrounding areas, is accepting singers of all abilities and ages, from kindergarten through adult, for the choirs’ upcoming fall/Christmas season. The choir is celebrating its 10th year of presenting benefit concerts throughout the area, raising funds for local charities. The concerts feature a program of diverse musical styles in presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Registration will be held at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, Route 539/High Street, Allentown, July 7, 5-6:30 p.m., and July 8, 6-7 p.m., or by appointment by calling (609) 587-7076. The Festive Flutes, directed by Marjorie Koharski of Neptune, will be scheduling auditions throughout the month of July. The Festive Flutes perform programs of light classical music, show tunes and old favorites. The flute choir, with piccolo, C flutes and alto flute, performs concerts at libraries, churches, fundraisers, receptions weddings, and senior homes throughout New Jersey. The Heart of New Jersey Chorus, Sweet Adelines International, is seeking new members. There are openings in all voice parts. The chorus recently returned from its annual competition and received the Most Improved Chorus award as well as ribbons for second place in the Small Chorus category.
