U.F. resident supports Herzer and McLaughlin
I am writing to express my support for two outstanding candidates running for Upper Freehold Township Board of Education, Lisa Herzer and Tia McLaughlin. I am the mother of two children, one with special needs, and an auditor/accountant. There are many reasons why I would encourage members of this community to vote for Herzer and McLaughlin. First, both candidates have proven exemplary characteristics that can and would continue to benefit our children and grandchildren. Tia McLaughlin is a learning disabilities teacher-consultant with many years of experience in educating children. She is currently employed by the Howell Township Board of Education, and her skills have been an enormous asset to the Upper Freehold Board of Education. She has proven herself to be an outstanding school board member and deserves to be re-elected. No other candidate has the years of educational experience and prior board experience that Tia offers our district. Additionally, Tia has worked diligently for many months in ensuring the successful passing of the Middle School Referendum. She will continue to be an asset as the new school is built. Lisa Herzer is a certified public accountant with many years of financial experience. She can ensure fiscal responsibility for our community. With state funding dwindling, increasing taxes on private citizens, and the building of the new school, I would be confident knowing that Lisa Herzer is working on the school board to ensure that our property-tax dollars are being used in the most efficient, effective way possible. Additionally, as most of you know, Lisa was the co-chair of the successful YES Committee. Due to her dedication and tireless commitment, this community will have the new middle school that we so desperately need. She has experience in working with the current school board, an asset that no other candidates (except Tia McLaughlin) possess. Both candidates have proven backgrounds that make them highly qualified school board members. Perhaps even more importantly, they possess the personal characteristics that make them worthy of an elected position: honesty, integrity, dedication, commitment and the desire to truly put “Children and Education First.” Please, show your support for all of the children of this community by voting for them.
