McDonald’s will hold auditions for its “Gospelfest 2005” at local McDonald’s restaurants throughout the tri-state area. There will be auditions for soloists, poets, rappers, comedians, and singing groups of two to eight people.

A separate audition for praise dancers, steppers, and choirs of nine or more people was held Jan. 29 at Madison Square Garden Expo Center in New York City, but applicants can still enter by sending a three-minute video or audio audition tape to McDonald’s Gospelfest 2005, 50 Park Place, Suite 1219, Newark 07102 by Feb. 26.

In New Jersey, auditions for soloists, poets, rappers, comedians, and singing groups of two to eight people will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at two McDonald’s restaurants: Feb. 12 in Paterson at 265 Crooks Ave.; and Feb. 19 in Long Branch at 229 Broadway.
