U.F. resident hopes Millstone will approve dog facility
This is a letter to Deputy Mayor Nancy Grbelja and the Zoning Board of Adjustment, in response to the problem concerning the approval of the Gaboff [dog clinic] facility.
Sharon Gaboff and her family have helped many animals and people in the years I have known her. She always thinks of the animals, plus the people they touch.
I find that when people come into a new area, they want it to change rather than co-exist. Dogs do make noise — one of the reasons people have them — but Sharon has said animals should mind, and she emphasizes that point in all her classes.
Those complaining probably would do the same with one dog nearby. Her facility, I feel, is not and would not be detrimental to her surrounding neighbors. We need such services in our communities. Many people come in and just let their pets run everywhere. That’s a problem.
I do hope you approve the facility at Ely Harmony and Stagecoach roads.
