John W. Mogilski

Mr. Mogilski, 82, of Brick, died Nov. 17 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Jersey City, he had resided in Freehold Township for 25 years before moving to Brick 11 years ago. Prior to retiring in 1979, he was employed for more than 30 years as a first-class machinist for PSE&G, Ridgefield Park. He served as a sergeant in the Marine Corps during World War II and was also a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Foczmanski Mogilski; a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Marie Mogilski, of Freehold Township; three daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Brian Hall, of Millstone, Pamela and James Wish, of Farmingdale, and Patricia and Glenn Saker, of Jackson; and nine grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

Susan Lee Wagner

Mrs. Wagner, 56, of Keyport, died Nov. 21 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had lived in Staten Island before moving to Keyport 30 years ago. Mrs. Wagner was a head cashier at Home Depot, Hazlet. She was predeceased by her mother, Helen Chandler; and a brother, Jim Lee. She is survived by her husband, Robert Wagner of Keyport; two daughters, Patricia Maurer of Old Bridge and Dawn Wardell of Allentown; two sons, Robert Wagner Jr. of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen, and John Wagner of Keyport; three sisters, Ann Suter and Patricia Lee, both of Staten Island, and Margaret Sammarco of Brooklyn; three brothers, Edward Lee of Brooklyn, Clarence Lee of Cliffwood Beach and Joseph Crisafi of Sayreville; and seven grandchildren. The Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements.

Helen Zuckowich Kennett

Mrs. Kennett, 85, of Freehold Township, died Nov. 18 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Born in Passaic, she had lived in Freehold Township for more than 60 years. She was employed for 24 years at Brockway Glass Co., Freehold Township. She was also a vegetable farmer with her son, John, in Freehold Township and had worked at Louis Plant Farm in Jamesburg, where she raised poinsettias and holiday flowers. Surviving are two sons, John A. Kennett of Freehold Township and Henry Kennett; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held at Vladimir’s Cemetery, Jackson, with Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, in charge of arrangements.

Ruth Acken Weiss

Mrs. Weiss, 89, of Manalapan, died Nov. 17 at home. Born in Bloomfield, she had lived in Nutley and Chatham Township before moving to Manalapan 40 years ago. She worked for Brewster Aviation in Newark stitching ailerons on aircraft during World War II. She was a member of Old Tennent Presbyterian Church, Manalapan, for 37 years and also served as a deacon. She was past president of United Presbyterian Women; a chairperson for Hunger of Monmouth Women’s Presbytery; and a member of the Evangelism Committee. In addition, she served for many years on the executive board of the Freehold Christian Women’s Club. Mrs. Weiss was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, David, in 2000, as well as a sister, Dorothy Chown. Surviving are a son, Gary Weiss of Manalapan; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Donald Loock of Martins Creek, Pa.; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Nancy Wassil of South Plainfield; two sisters, Agnes Zwiedinger of Hackettstown and Florence Horton of Basking Ridge; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Old Tennent Church, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements. Harry M. Davison

Mr. Davison, 86, of Freehold, died Nov. 18 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Freehold, he was a lifelong resident. He was a landscaper for P.J. Schweitzer Co., Spotswood, where he was employed for 25 years before retiring in 1983. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 4374 and American Legion Post 54, both of Freehold. Mr. Davison was predeceased in 1983 by his wife, Bertha Yapps Davison. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert W. and Claudette Davison of Brick, and Walter C. and Marlene Davison of Howell; a brother, David Davison of Freehold; a sister, Barbara Archer of Freehold; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township. VFW services were also held.
