A new introductory soccer training program is available this fall for children 3-5 years old. The program, called “Lil’ Nippers,” is designed for players who will not be enrolled in kindergarten in the fall, and who are not enrolled in the Upper Freehold/Allentown Youth Soccer Association fall kindergarten program. Training sessions are structured and run by licensed trainers from the UK Elite Association. The program runs on Thursdays from Sept. 16 through Oct. 21. Players will participate in one of two sessions, either 4-5 p.m. or 5-6 p.m. The cost is $40. per player. Additional information and registration form are available at ufasoccer.com. The Millstone Warriors are looking for boys and girls from Millstone, Upper
Freehold, Allentown and Roosevelt to play competitive travel basketball in Monmouth county. Interested players should plan to come to both tryout dates for their age group. Contact Brad Winfree at (732) 792-3149 with questions.

Boys seventh through ninth grade (born after Aug. 1, 1990) — Sept. 11, from 9-10:30 a.m. and Sept. 13 from 8-9:30 p.m. at Millstone Middle School.
Girls seventh through ninth grade (born after Aug. 1, 1990) — Sept. 11, from 9-10:30 a.m. and Sept. 14 from 8-9:30 p.m. at Millstone Middle School.
Boys fifth and sixth grade (born after Aug. 1, 1992) — Sept. 10 from 7-8:30 p.m. and Sept. 14 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Millstone Middle School.
Girls fifth and sixth grade (born after Aug. 1, 1992) — Sept. 10 from 7-8:30 p.m.
and Sept. 14 from 6:30-8 p.m. at
Millstone Middle School.
Boys third and fourth grade (born after Aug. 1, 1994) — Sept. 15 from 6:30-8 p.m. and Sept. 17 from 7-8 p.m. at Millstone Middle School.
Girls third and fourth grade (born after Aug. 1, 1994) — Sept. 14 from 6:30-8 p.m. and Sept. 17 from 7-8 p.m. at Millstone Middle School.
The Upper Freehold/Allentown Youth Soccer Association is seeking a few additional seventh- or eighth-grade boys to play on a recreational soccer team for the fall season. This team plays on Saturdays in the Midlands Division program and will play other recreational teams from adjacent and other nearby communities. Opening day for the Upper Freehold-Allentown Youth Soccer Association recreational program is Saturday. Registered kindergarten and first-grade players should report to the fields at the Byron Johnson Recreational Complex at 9 a.m. Registered players in second grade should report to the Mark Harbourt Soccer Complex at 9 a.m. Lil’ Nippers program for 3-5-year-olds begins Sept. 16.
